The major attractions of this trek are the snow-capped peaks and the high Tilicho Lake. The hospitality of the Nepalese people and the flora and fauna of the region can also be witnessed through this trek. Annapurna Massif along with Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Tilicho and several other peaks are also the primary concern of this trek. We will be able to rinse our sins through the 108 water spouts of the Muktinath Temple. We will also have a chance to try the apple brandy of the Marpha village.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu. Overnight at HotelOne of our representatives will pick you up at the airport and guide you to your hotel room. Freshen up and explore the surroundings. In the evening, you will have typical Nepali food and a brief about the trek. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trip preparation. Overnight at HotelToday, we will visit the world heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley. We will visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and the Swoyambhunath. The guide will portray us about the historical importance of the places. Back to the hotel for trek preparation and an overnight stay.

Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule (840m, 7 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseAfter breakfast, we will drive to the village of Bhulbhule. We will get on a private vehicle in a bumoy and windy road to arrive at the lake city of Pokhara. From there, we will arrive at the village of Besisahar before arriving at the village Bhulbhule. Overnight at tea house.

Day 04Bhulbhule to Bahundanda (1310 m, 4/5 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseWalk through a green lush trail along the dusty road to cross a river to arrive at the village of Lampata. We will have lunch there and continue our walk up and down the trail to arrive at the village of Bahundanda. For a shorter unchallenging day, we can follow the jeep road. Overnight at tea house.

Day 05Bahundanda to Chamje (1430m, 6/7 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will descend from Bahundanda to get to the village of Ghermu. The village is quite bigger than Bahundanda. From here, we will climb downhill to get to the picturesque village of Syange. The village has very high waterfalls. A steep climb uphill will take us to the village of Jagat before another steep ascent to Chamje. Overnight at tea house.

Day 06Chamje to Dharapani (1,890m, 6/7 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseToday, we will walk up and down the narrow hills and cross the river a several times to get to the village of Dharapani. The trail is steep and goes along the river to Tal. From there, we will walk along the river to get to the village of Kharte. Dharapani is just a few minutes walk from Kharte. Overnight at tea house.

Day 07Dharapani to Chame (2670m, 5/6 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will get out of the village of Dharapani to get to the village of Danak. From there, we will climb up a steep narrow trail to Timang. Then, we will walk down to the village of Koto and an ascent from there will take us to the village of Chame. Along the way, we will be able to have landscape views of the Annapurna and Nilgiri Peaks. Overnight at Chame.

Day 08Chame to Pisang (3200m, 5/6 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will start early today for great views of the snow-capped peaks surrounding the trail. Get out of the village of Chame to arrive at Bhratang. From Bhratang, it’s a steep climb up a rock which when crossed will take us to the entry point of the village of Pisang. The village is divided into two parts, Upper and Lower. Pisang offers us great views of the Annapurna, Paungda and the Pisang Peak. Overnight at tea house.

Day 09Pisang to Manang (3540m, 6/7 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseToday, we will take the upper trail to Manang. Start off with a flat trail to slowly move up a steep path to get to the village of Ghyaru. From there, a flat and windy walk will take us to the village of Ngawal. After lunch at Ngawal, we will descend to Bragha and just an hour from there is our days’ final destination, Manang. This village is the driest with the lowest number of people living here. Overnight at tea house.

Day 10Acclimatization day. Overnight at Tea HouseTo prevent us from the effects of the high altitude, we will take a break in Manang to acclimatize with the increasing altitude. The village offers great views of the Annapurna and the Chulu Peak. We will visit the Milarepa’s Cave and the Kecho Lake to explore the surroundings and the culture of the Gurung people. Overnight at tea house.

Day 11Manang to Siri Kharka (4060m, 4/5 hrs). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will get out of the village of Manang with a descent to the Marshyangdi River. We will cross the river and hike up through thick conifer forest to arrive at the village of Kangsar. Pass a monastery to arrive at the village of Siri Kharka. Along the way, we will be able to have beautiful views of the Gungang Himal and the Chulu peak. Overnight at tea house.

Day 12Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp (4140m, 5/6 hrs). Overnight at Tea HouseIt is all downhill to get to the Tilicho Base Camp. We will descent through a narrow and steep trail to get to the Base Camp. The walk is not much but it might get tiresome as we will have to walk through the landslide area. Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 13Tilicho Lake (4919m). Back to Siri Kharka (5/6 hrs). Overnight at Tea HouseToday, we will be able to get to the highest lake of the world, Tilicho, resting at a height of 4919 meters. The hike to the lake is all uphill with narrow steep trail. The view of the lake is surprisingly marvelous. We will be able to get a view of the Khangsar, Muktinath and the Nilgiri and the Tilicho Peaks. Trek back down to the base camp and back to the village of Siri Kharka for an overnight stay.

Day 14Siri Kharka to Yak Kharka (4018m, 4/5 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseDescend towards the Khangsar Village to cross a wall and get down to a bridge before getting to the village of Thorung Khola. We will ascend a wide trail after crossing the river to get to Yak Kharka. Overnight at tea house.

Day 15Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi (4450m, 4/5 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will get out of the village of Yak Kharka with a walk downhill along the Kone Khola Valley to arrive at the village of Letdar. Get out of the village with a hike downhill until the river. We will cross the river on a suspension bridge to climb up a steep trail before arriving at Thorung Phedi. Overnight at tea house.

Day 16Thorung Phedi to Muktinath (3760m, 8/9 hrs.). Overnight at Tea HouseClimb up steeply to get to the High Camp and further climb up to get to the Thorung La Pass. The pass has several memorials, prayer flags and a tea house. WE will be able to see panoramic views of the Damodar and the Annapurna Peaks. We will climb down on a steep path to get to the holy land of muktinath after passing the village of Charabu. Overnight at tea house.

Day 17Muktinath to Jomsom (2713m). Overnight at Tea HouseWe will worship the sacred land of Muktinath today and get down to the village of Jomsom. Muktinath is a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists. It has 108 water spouts, Mukti Kunda and the Jwala Mai Temple. We descend steeply to the village of Eklibhatti and then, a pleasant downhill walk will take us to the village of Kagbeni before getting to Jomsom. Overnight at tea house.

Day 18Drive to Pokhara. Overnight at HotelWe will visit the Dhumba Lake in the morning and get back to Jomsom for breakfast. We will drive back to the lake city of Pokhara after breakfast. Overnight at tea house.

Day 19Drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at HotelAfter breakfast, we will make our way back to the capital of Nepal. The drive will be bumpy and windy but the scenery along the way will be breathtaking. Overnight at tea house.

Day 20Final DepartureOne of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel room and drop you off at the international airport of Nepal and bid you adieu.
