Closed from Kathmandu, Langtang region is famous trekking trail in Nepal. Among many trekking route in Langtang valley, Langtang Ganjala Pass Trekking is adventure including local cultures. This route provide chance to explore oldest monasteries in every village. Kyangin Gumpa is another highlight of this trekking. Hiking to Tserko Ri (5000miter) and view spectacular snowcapped of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Shisapangma, Yala peak and many others of Langtang Himalayan range. Trek reaches Langtang valley first and Helambu region after crossing Ganjala – La pass of 5122 miter. Langtang Ganjala Pass Trekking at the end reaches at Helambu which is home of different birds and best known habitat of Red Panda.

Trekking start 8 to 9 hours driving from Kathmandu to shyaprubesi. You will follow Langtang River all the way walking till Kyanjing Gumpa (3050m). Climb Tserko – Ri after reaching Kyanging Gumpa. Next day stay at ganjala pedhi and we reach to our next destination to Ganja La pass. Three days of this part is no any settlement and no any lodges. At the end enter Helambu region and drive back to Kathmandu. Helambu region have splendid Buddhist monasteries around typical Sherpa villages.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu and Tranfer to Hotel (1300m) Overnight at Hotel Ganga Jamauna Adverture Treks representative will pick up you from International Airport and transfer to Hotel in Thamel. Discuss about your trip, meet your guide and evening typical Nepali dinner in cultural Nepali restaurant.

Day 02Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and preparation of your trek. Overnight at Hotel Start sightseeing in Kathmandu valley after your breakfast in Hotel. Cover 3 UNESCO heritage sides. Biggest Buddhist temple Bauddanath Stupa, Sacred Hindu Temple Pashupatinath and old palace Kathmandu Durbar squire.

Day 03Drive to Syaprubesi (8 Hours – 1550m) Overnight at Camp Start drive with private and 4W Jeep to Syaprubesi. Driving in mountain road is scenic hills and Mountain View. Only 145 kilometer driving takes 8 hours via terrace field and rural villages. Reach Shyaprubesi by late afternoon and camp

Day 04Trek to Lama Hotel (6/7 Hours - 2380m) overnight at CampTour first day trekking start from Syaprubesi after your breakfast. Passing through Local village, forested area and Rivers along your walking. Not challenging trail including ups and down.

Day 05Trek to Langtang Village (6/7 hours – 3430m) Overnight at campWalking through Rhododendron and pine forest, trail begin scenic with mountain and nice valley of Langtang. After walking around 3 hours we reach at Ghoda tabela, where we will have our luncha. Another 3 hours easy walking reach at Langtang and overnight

Day 06Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (2/3 Hours – 3870m) Overnight at CampWalking through largest Mani walls and prayers flags. By short walking, you will reach at Kyanjin Gumpa and place is surrounding by Himalayas all around. Take rest and acclimatization. Kyanjin Gumba is the last destination of this trekking.

Day 07Exploration of Kyanjin Gumpa, Climb Tserko Ri (5150m) Overnight at Kyanjin Gumpa in camp Early in the morning hike to Tserko-Ri for mountain sunrise view. View of Langtang glacier, beautiful Yak grass land LANGSHISHA KHARKA and Mountain views surroundings. Back to Kyanjin Gumpa and explore Kyanjin Monastery and Cheese factory

Day 08Trek to Ngegang (7 Hours – 4520m) Overnight at Camp Cross Langtang River and start steep climbing through Rhododendron forest. Today is comparatively long walking in high altitude. Reaching at Ngegang, which is grassland of Yak. You will see peacefully grazing yaks around the camp.

Day 09Trek to Keldang by passing Ganja La Pass (5122m). (6/7 Hours – 4250m) Overnight at Camp Today is hard day of the trek. Crossing Ganja La pass is continuously the uphill in rocky land. Top of Ganja la pass is normally covered with ice throughout the year. Walking with special care in this section. After the pass, steeply down to Keldang.

Day 10Trek to Dukpu (6 Hours – 4080m) overnight at Camp Trekking route today is with many ups and down. We meet grassland and forest area today. Walking through ridges, reach down to the valley. We will than rich Dukpu crossing small settlement on the way

Day 11Trek to Tarke Gyang (5/6 Hours – 2740m) overnight at camp We descend much elevation and walk down today. More vegetation land including Pine and Rhododendron forest. We reach at a large Sherpa village Tarke Gyang where We can closely view the exciting life style and traditions of Sherpa.

Day 12Trek to Sermathang (4/5 Hours - 2590m) ) overnight at camp We cross several Sherpa village on the way like Gangyul and Chumik. Trekking trails almost is downhill but including some gentle up hills as well. We reach at another large Sherpa village, Sermathang. Local Sherpa peoples here practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism which is same in Bhutan

Day 13Trek to Melamchipool Bazar (4 Hours) and drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel We also can start our direct drive from Shermathang but still trekking trail through Sherpa villages are more interesting. We trek up to Melamchi Pool Bazar for 4 hours and take local bus or our private transportation to Kathmandu. Transfer you to Hotel

Day 14Departure We transfer you to International airport for your final departure
