Tibet Travel Permit/ Visa
Tibet entry permit is issued by registered tourist companies, none of the individual can apply Tibet travel permit themselves. It is important to know that Chinese visa and Tibet travel permit is different. Your permit process takes at least 7-10 days from Lhasa. Your entry from Kathmandu is enough with Tibet travel permit but entering from mainland China need both, Chinese visa and Tibet travel permit. There is different permit/visa cost as per nationality. From Nepal: - Nepal is main entry point entering Tibet. Flying to Lhasa from Kathmandu airport, Driving from Kathmandu to Nepal Tibet boarder KODARI, Trekking or heli chartered via Nepal Simikot and enter HILSA are the legally route for tourist.
From Main land China: - You can enter Tibet from China. You need Chinese visa from your own country. Send us your Chinese visa and passport scan copy to us, so that we can forward you Tibet travel permit. By train from every city of China or flights are ways to enter Tibet.

Accommodation and Foods
Central Tibet is settled with good hotels and restaurants, remote area of Tibet like Tibet Everest base camp, Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar, Guge kindgoms are with basic guest houses and basic Chinese/ Tibetan foods. Remote trekking areas of Tibet have to arrange with camping tent and tented prepare foods.
Best time to Visit
From 2008, month of March is always closed to visit any tourist. Tibet government start their permit from 01st of April and travelling Tibet will start from middle of April. April – Sept is good time to visit every part of Tibet. Oct and November is still good to visit central Tibet.
Bank/ Money/ ATM
Chinese Yuan is official currency of Tibet. There are bank and ATMs in main cities if Tibet Like Lhasa, Shigatse and in Gyantse. Rest of the places is like remote area of Tibet and you should bring cash with you. Changing Yuan from USD cash or any other currency is available in Nepal, Every boarder and Money exchanges. USD 1 = 6 Yuan approximately.
