About Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world is located in the far East of Nepal. The base camp of this mountain is 5160 meters above sea level which can be completed within 26 days, whereas the exact trekking days will only be of 21 days. This trek is about 200km during which you will witness varieties of beautiful flora and fauna and walk past glacier lakes as well.

As the region is a remote area, the accommodation and meals are not going to be fancy. Only a few trekking groups will be seen as this region is very less visited by tourists. This trek requires you to be in good shape and should also have past trekking experiences as trails are narrow. You'll get to see Nepal as it really is, with all its many cultures and environmental features.

Nevertheless, despite its remoteness, travelers may visit Ramtang and Oktang Monasteries and acquire insight into local culture. Along the trip, the scenery is diverse and includes rivers, waterfalls, lush meadows, oak, and pine woods, the Yalung Glacier, and of course, the gorgeous mountains that line the road. The 2035 square kilometer Kanchenjunga Conservation area is one of the region's attractions. The road to Kanchenjunga Base Camp travels through the Arun valley, which is regarded as one of Nepal's most attractive trekking areas.
